You've moved to Bitpalace with your domain and wonder why your site is running very fast.

Solution

Bitpalace employs several techniques that make your site feel as if it was running on its own large server. For example:

Bitpalace server hardware is significantly more powerful than what many other providers use: Fast CPUs with at least 12 processor cores on modern chipsets.

Bitpalace servers have more RAM than what many others offer: At least 256 GB of DDR4 RAM. Typically, more than 90% of this is available as a reserve for power peaks. This avoids the swapping of RAM to slow swap space. Almost everything is done in fast RAM.

All Bitpalace hosts are connected to the Internet with at least 1 Gbit/s.

No more than 35 customers are hosted per processor core. Customers with a high CPU load are routed to separate machines or trained in how to optimize scripts so that each customer is always given the best possible performance. In normal operation, approximately 90% of the CPU is unloaded and is available for power peaks.

The hard drives are not equipped with software RAID (as is common with many providers), but equipped with high-tech LSI hardware RAID controllers. This keeps the CPU free from hard disk operations.

Bitpalace uses read-ahead and write-back caches to SATA III (6 Gbit/s) hard disks. The number of disk accesses is therefore minimal. The write-back cache is backed up by battery backups so that data can not be lost even in the event of an unexpected power failure.

Bitpalace servers use data compression and the Nginx highspeed frontend web server. Requests for static files are speedily served and do not load the Apache backend web server.

Customers can use modern PHP versions, such as PHP 8, which makes scripting sites work much faster than with old versions.
